Information We Collect

Email Account Access

We access email messages from your email accounts to automatically detect subscription-related emails and extract billing information. Email content is processed temporarily and not permanently stored on our servers.

Subscription Data

We collect subscription details including service name, price, billing cycle, and next billing date. This data is stored locally on your device.

Account Information

We store encrypted email account credentials and account preferences securely on your device to connect to your email accounts and sync subscription data.

Third-Party Data Processing

Anthropic AI Email Analysis

We use Anthropic's AI service to analyze email content for subscription detection.

• Email content is sent to Anthropic's API for analysis
• Anthropic processes emails to identify subscription services
• Analysis is performed only for subscription detection purposes
• Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy

Google Services and Data Handling

Gmail API Access

When you connect your Gmail account, Hawksubber uses Google's Gmail API to access your email messages for subscription detection. We are committed to responsible data handling in accordance with Google's policies.

Data Processing and Use Limitations

• Limited Purpose: Data is processed solely for user-facing summaries and subscription identification for the individual user
• No Generalized AI Training: We do NOT retain user data obtained through Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized AI and/or ML models
• No Data Retention: No email data is retained, stored, or used for any model training purposes
• Individual User Benefit Only: Each user's Gmail data is processed independently and only benefits that specific user's subscription tracking
• Temporary Processing: Email content is analyzed temporarily through third-party AI services and immediately discarded after processing
• User Control: You can revoke access at any time through your Google account settings

Google User Data Policy Compliance

The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We strictly limit our use of Gmail data to providing and improving user-facing features of Hawksubber.

Data Storage and Security

All subscription data is stored locally on your device using secure local storage. We do not store email content permanently. Data remains on your device and is not transmitted to third parties except for AI analysis.

Your Rights

• Access: View all your subscription data within the app
• Delete: Remove individual subscriptions or clear all data
• Export: Export your subscription data from the app
• Disconnect: Remove email accounts at any time

Children's Privacy

Hawksubber is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Third-Party Services

Email Providers

We connect to email services with your explicit permission using secure authentication methods.

In-App Purchases

Payment processing is handled by Apple App Store. We do not store payment information.

Data Retention

• Subscription Data: Stored locally until deleted or app is uninstalled
• Email Content: Processed temporarily by AI, not stored permanently
• Account Credentials: Stored until you disconnect the account
